"How to Change My Life"


People want change in their lives. Desperately.


Unfortunately, they are often looking for a one-size-fits-all approach. Something they can do that will be easy, cheap, and quick. I don't blame anyone! That would be perfect, wouldn't it?!


While changing your life isn't so universal, it can be easy and quick, but it needs to fit you and your desires/goals.


The best thing you can do to change your life is deciding what you want your end result to be. Do you want a successful business? Travel? To be a multi-millionaire or a savvy speaker? Whatever it is that would make you wake up in the mornings with the need to pinch yourself to make sure you aren't sleeping - that is a good end result.

So you know what you WANT; now it's time to take action to get that end result. Work backward from your end result and determine the steps you need to take to get there. Sure, some of them will be scary or hard; but that is going to get you where you want to go.


Accept no excuses from yourself. Don't listen to naysayers (including yourself!)


There is always a way to make something happen. You don't have to do it the same way other people have done it. Allow yourself the creativity to do it, to accomplish your wonderful end result in a way that feels good to you.


Realize there might be setbacks. Those are okay, and you will learn from them. Realize there might be times when you wonder why you started this adventure. Those are okay, too, because you will strengthen your resolve (NEVER QUIT)! You will get through all of the roadblocks if your end result is important enough to you.


Here are the steps:

  1. Know what your end result is.

  2. Come up with a plan to achieve that result.

  3. Keep going.

  4. Revise your plan when you need to.

  5. Expect wonderful things to happen. (Daily visualization of you living your perfect life provides a HUGE boost to your success!)

That's seriously all there is to it! This blog post would be a good read for you.


What if you don't have a clue as to what you want your end result to be? This is pretty simple too. Make a list of things you enjoy and start doing those things. (Or, if you don't know what you enjoy, make a list of things you think you might enjoy.)


I acknowledge that doing things you enjoy sounds great on paper, but you have chores that need doing, a job, a family... You just don't have the time to traipse around doing things you enjoy. Bologna! You do have the time if you choose it.


It is time to prioritize yourself. You are worth it. You deserve it.


If you want to change your life, you must change what you do with your time. There is no way around that. And don't ever put this off for yourself. Your kids, family, and friends will all grow and reap the benefits of a happier you. (If they realize it right now or not.)


You can always make little changes if you're still on the fence.


5 Simple Ways to Change Your Life:

  1. Start journaling about your feelings and desires.

  2. List what you are grateful for daily.

  3. Treat your body with respect. (That means eating good foods but also indulging once in a while!)

  4. Do one thing each day that will get you closer to the life you want. (This can be super tiny.)

  5. Visualize you being happy for 3 minutes each day.
