CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS
10% of net proceeds are donated to one of the charities on this page. You will choose which charity you'd like to donate to from this list when you check out!

Why these charities? I did my research on CharityNavigator and found them to be upstanding nonprofits where the majority of funds raised actually go to the cause, instead of a large portion going to admin and fundraising efforts.

1
They provide meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.

This organization is important to me because of, well, food. We all need it! They help people in the midst of a crisis. The kinds of crisis where you don't know where your next meal is coming from or if you'll even have something to eat. They get in the trenches and make sure people have food in their bellies. AND they are helping to feed Ukrainian refugees.
2
They build a world in balance with the wild. They are working to protect and restore biodiversity.

This organization is important to me because its work is reinvigorating our mother earth. They are making the planet more biodiverse, allowing native plants to regenerate and our ecosystem to thrive. They do vital work!
3
They work to connect people with food and end hunger. Domestic hunger relief in the USA.

This organization is important to me because they are helping our neighbors eat. In a country as wealthy as the US, we shouldn't have hunger issues (we shouldn't have them globally either). Their website states that 38 million people in the US are food insecure. They not only make sure people can eat, but they are also "working to break the cycle of poverty and hunger."
4
A national, 24-hour, toll free, confidential suicide prevention service for LGBTQ youth.

This organization is important to me because they are helping an extremely vulnerable part of our communities. I believe everybody should receive equal love and acceptance. We are, after all, one. Plus, suicide among young LGBTQ people is staggering. Anything we can do to help them is needed.
5
They create a social, political, and economic environment in which violence against women no longer exists.

This organization is important to me because I have seen firsthand, through a close relative, the toll domestic violence takes on a person. Getting help and being listened to are vital.
6
They are a nonpartisan organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the USA.

This organization is important to me because I have a close relative who has been through homelessness. It opened my eyes to the issues they face on a moment-to-moment basis. Ending homelessness is an act of compassion for humankind.
7
They save endangered wildlife and protect our planet. They create rainforest reserves through various means.

This organization is important to me because it is unfathomable to me how our planet is being treated and that mistreatment affects our innocent wildlife. Each animal has a place on this earth, and each animal deserves protection from unenlightened humans.
8
"To provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”

This organization is important to me because animal cruelty is unfathomable! The mistreatment of the animals that only want to love us and be loved by us is boggling. Getting animals out of harm's way is angel work, in my opinion.
