How to Feel Happy with Affirmations

Affirmations are simple statements you repeat to create new pathways in your brain. When those new pathways are formed, your life takes you in the direction of your affirmations.

Side Note: that's why it's so important to make sure you say good things to yourself and don't let yourself have negative self-talk!

It's easy to feel happy when your affirmations start to kick in and do the heavy lifting for you and for the outcome of your life!

The best affirmations start with, "I am". Those really get to the core of everything and make things happen. However, if your brain can't currently get behind an affirmation like, "I am healthy" right now because you feel anything but healthy, you can simply affirm, "Health". When you say the word health, imagine what health looks like to you. It could be strong legs, good bloodwork numbers, being able to run a 5K... whatever health looks like to you, see that in your head.

A great place to be with your affirmations is when you repeat them without even realizing you are doing it. Maybe you start doing the dishes, consciously aware that you are repeating your affirmations, and by the time you are done with the dishes, you realize your affirmation is still going in your mind, but you weren't consciously repeating it anymore. That's when you know things are about to kick into overdrive for you! To get to that point, you simply repeat your affirmations as often and for as long as possible.

A fantastic time to repeat your affirmations is when you are going to sleep.

Here are a few affirmations to get you started:

  • I am happy.

  • I am healthy.

  • I am confident.

  • I am financially abundant.

  • I am peaceful.

  • I am successful.

And if those are too much of a stretch for you, here are the equivalent options:

  • Happiness

  • Health

  • Confidence

  • Financial Abundance

  • Peaceful

  • Successful

Happy affirming!
